By Dr. Chiaramonte
Every time our editor shows me another flattering review or testimonial from yet another grateful parent, my reaction is always the same: “Show me the money.” Remuneration aside, however, the big message is that readers are using what they learn to help their families and friends. This affirms a big part of our mission. Namely, to help people become better patients and parents of patients. We don’t want them to avoid their doctors, we want them to go to their doctors with the knowledge they need to have a more informed dialogue, and so elicit improved treatment for their co-payment. Good information doesn’t just make patients better, it makes doctors better. To the extent that this is happening, Paul, Henry and I are succeeding. Now show me the money. Go out and buy the book.
